Save Money On Gas For Your Vehicles: Walmart Prepaid Gift Card

Monday, March 5th, 2007

Did you know that you can get 3 cents off per gallon by using a Walmart gift card at the Walmart gas pump? It does not cost you anything to purchase a gift card but when you use it to buy gas, it saves you money!

Also keep this in mind: in Round Rock gas is $2.17 at the Walmart here. Gas at the Walmart in Rockdale is $2.09. My husband and I take the kids for drives often and if one of our cars needs gas we just drive to Rockdale and use the prepaid gift card and our gas costs us $2.06.

Sometimes keeping an eye out for gas prices also pays. You may see that the gas by the Doctors office is cheaper then the gas at the mall. In that case take the car that needs gas when you go to the Doctors office and fill up.

Small things will make a difference trust me.

In this case by me going to Rockdale and taking our car that needs to be filled up instead of putting gas in Round Rock with the prepaid gift card we save Good Money. Check this out! To start off just by keeping an eye out for cheaper gas I am now saving 8 cents. By using a prepaid gift card I save an additional 3 cents for a total of 11 cents. If my car has a tank of 15 gallons and I fill up twice a week that is savings of $3.30. Monthly saving of $14.85. Yearly Savings of $178.20. And if you have 2 cars that is a savings of $356.40.

My Parents trip to El Salvador

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

Only 10 days to go! My parents are getting ready for their trip to El Salvador and my Mom is very exited and counting days. I only wish I was going. The last time I went was before I got married in 1999.

My country is beautiful too bad my kids are too small to travel otherwise I would plan a trip there. That may be wishful thinking since I can not seem to convince my husband to go with me and he won’t let me go alone. Anyways, I hope someday he can see the beautiful mountains and beaches, experience the tropical weather and eat the delicious food and exotic fruits and such, go to private rivers and bath with clothes on like everyone does over there. So much fun!

I hope it will happen someday.

The Holidays Are Over!

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

That’s right, they are over and I am getting back on track. Everyone loves the Holidays but no one likes the stress and the overwhelming time restrictions that come with them.

For this stay at home Mom things get really crazy 1 week before Thanksgiving. With the running around like crazy to try to make your turkey and ham taste awesome and trying out different recipes before the big day. After that is out of the way, I get about 5-7 days to plan Mikey’s Birthday party since he was born the second week of December. Exactly 6 days later, I plan something for my Dads Birthday which is on the 18th of December. All the while I try to finish Christmas shopping and last minute gift wrapping along with deciding on the menu for that night. Christmas comes and a week later I plan the New Year Party and some how have to incorporate my Moms Birthday celebration since she is a New Years Eve baby.

All this while keeping up with my 3 kids. A now 3 year old, 19 month old and almost 8 month old (in a few days, 7 days to be exact).

This is such a crazy time of the year! Don’t take me wrong, my favorite time of the year but if I did not organize myself, I would end up in a loony house.

But it’s over, and now I have Spring to look forward to.

I Want My HP!

Monday, November 27th, 2006

Ted Murphy got 6 Megapixel digital cameras from HP and I want one. So, Ted this is my story and the reason why I deserve one of those wonderful cameras.

I am a 30 year old stay at home Mom for about 7 months now. I worked in a busy hospital in California for “ever” and moved to Texas in February. I am still trying to get used to staying home. I have 3 Children under 3 and a wonderful husband.

A usual day: I wake up in the morning still tired from the day before, I take twice the vitamins a person should hoping it will give me super woman strength but it never does. At 6 a.m. Dan II wakes up, takes his bottle and plays in his crib until he gets tired and wants to get picked up. Genesis is an early bird, she has been awake for 30 minutes now. Mikey starts crying about 7 or 7:30 a.m. and wants something to drink and be carried.

The Kid’s Christmas Gifts Are In The Bag!

Monday, November 27th, 2006

As of today all the kid’s gifts are in the bag like they say. Genesis is getting a doll house, kitchen and dishes to go along with that. Mikey is getting a remote control car from Disney’s movie “CARS” and a work bench with all kinds of tools. Dan II gets a toy for his crib and some toys to chew on since his teeth are coming in now. They all get clothes but my husband doesn’t want me to count those toward Christmas.

This is so cool! I love shopping for my kids. Now I need to shop for everyone else.

BRING IT ON!

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Check this out the movie “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was in theaters and I was reading this Web Release on the net that said that now Progressive Direct the company that sells cheap auto insurance teamed up with Universal Studios to insert a running tally of the destruction into the recent HD DVD release of the movie.

Now when you watch the movie and the car is flying through the air and hits anything for example and lets say that the door goes flying out, then a display in a small window will say how much that would cost to fix. Is this crazy or what? What you would see in the display window would say something like: “Roof repair: $209, taillights: $451, fender: $618″ and so on.

I guess that these new HD DVDs have 6 times as much data capacity as standard DVDs. Some people in the movie making business are hoping that this will give them more revenue by using for advertisement but others think it won’t work.

In my opinion the idea is good, if you are watching this particular movie and you know that your roof needs repair and you see on the move that it could cost $209 but you thought it could cost more, well then maybe it can motivate someone to go out and get the roof fixed.

But who knows, I do know that it sounds cool and the more technology grows, the easier life gets, right?

Precious Metals! Are They a Good Investment Opportunity?

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

I read something when I was surfing the net this morning about silver coins that was interesting. I usually do my Dads investments and I read that now it’s a good time to buy silver coins for investment. I read that a company by the name of Monex Deposit Company is selling this and you would not believe who is buying these.

Did you know that the World demand for silver now exceeds annual production, and has ever since 1990? This is one of the many reasons why silver is a good investment opportunity.

Many analysts feel that silver, and specifically US silver coins, presents an outstanding investment opportunity.

This is a bit of history: Since the end of WWII the U.S. government – (Used to be the largest silver holder on the planet) – has filtered billions and billions of ounces of silver bars onto the world market, effectively depressing silver prices. Today, the hold of silver that the US government had is gone . . . and now the U.S. government is a silver buyer.

This is a good way to spread your eggs(Don’t put all your eggs in one basket!)
