Something to Go with Our Plasma TV

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

I am thinking of joining a DVD Club. I have been getting advertisement in the mail about different ones. I found the William Shatner DVD Club. The William Shatner DVD-of-the-Month Club selects a great underground sci-fi movie each month. They have the following movies which is the reason why I want to join them:

  • Immortal : The year is 2095 and the ancient Egyptian gods have returned to Earth to cast judgment on the falcon-headed god Horus in this epic fantasy from comic-book creator Enki Bilal. Given only one week by the gods to preserve his immortality, Horus must search New York City and find both a human host whose body he will inhabit and a willing mate to continue his legacy. As the enormous pyramid of the gods looms ominously over Manhattan, a beautiful and mysterious young woman named Jill wanders the streets in search of her true identity.

Julio Is Almost Done With School

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

My baby brother is almost to the end of school. He will be graduating in October.

He was telling me about wanting to get a student loan consolidation with StudentLoanConsolidator.com. I guess after his Military Loan he also has a private loan. He is looking to:

  1. Cut his monthly payment up to 50%
  2. Improve his credit score
  3. One easy payment a month

This is all good for him since he wants to buy a house after he starts working. I looked them up after he mentioned it and I found that they have a lot of other services to help out students during school and after they graduate like:

  • How to Calculate cost and Financial needs
  • Information on:
    • Federal Aid
    • Awarding Aid
    • Scholarship Search
    • Tax Cuts for Education

Anyways, I am glad that he is making good sound decisions about his future.

Williamson County Insurance

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

My parents have the Williamson County Insurance and I took them to a mandatory meeting the other day about their program. I guess they are getting so many participants in the program that the county has to make some changes.

GOOD CHANGES.

  • Before they had only one clinic they could get Primary Care from, now they have 4.
  • Before they had 1 pharmacy approved under the program, now there is a whole list of pharmacies that are contracted with the County.
  • Before the participants had to carry an eligibility letter with them at all times but now they actually have an insurance card with their info. and the pharmacy information.
  • The new name is Wilco Care (only for Williamson County Residents)

These are all good changes and it just goes to show that we are growing. I like the fact that the county is accommodating the growth.

Another Wedding

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

I had an interesting call today. A friend of the family who I did the Wedding Planning for last year in September called me asking me for assistance. I guess her daughter is now getting Married and she is helping her out but did need help in one thing. She wanted to know where I had bought the groomsmen gifts for her wedding.

For her wedding I got this Personalized Multipurpose Tool.

I had the company put the groomsmen names and date on it.

They all thought it was a nice thing to get. gift.jpg

Anyways so I told her where I found them. I guess her daughter gets married in 2 months and we are invited.

Yet, Another Sleepless Night

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Last night was just too much. The night before was understandable but last night? Mikey and Genesis were awake. Genesis would fall asleep for about 5-10 minutes and would then wake up crying. Mikey fell asleep but I would hear him crying in his sleep until he got out of bed and went into our bedroom.

Needless to say he sleep with us last night. I had to ask My Mom to help with Genesis. I could not handle both. Thank God Dan Jr. is so calm. I don’t know what I would have done if he started crying in the middle of the night also.

I guess that is just what happens when they are teething.

Sleepless Nights!

Sometimes I Think About My EX

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Sometimes I think about my EX JOB. The good times and bad in my almost 9 years at the Hospital. My only regret is always feeling unappreciated and never saying anything.

I wish my supervisor or Nurse Manager would have known about Employee Appraisals and Reviews. Knowing how to give employees appraisal is, in my opinion, what keeps employees happy. For some weird reason, I always got good reviews but that was it. Good reviews never took me any where at my EX JOB.

But that is a thing of the past. If I had to do it again I would mention to my boss about the ManagerAssistant software available to Managers.

No Sleep Last Night

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Last night Genesis was not wanting to go to sleep. I think more teeth are coming in. She now has a total of 6. Three on top and three at the bottom. But I think she is not done yet.

It was 1 o’clock in the morning and she was still awake. She was crying non stop. I gave her some Tylenol but it did not seem to help. I did not have Humphreys to give her which I regret. I am going to run to the store today and get that for her.

At the end, Dan took her for a drive early this morning and finally she fell asleep. Today she is very tired and cranky.

I hope tonight she will get a better sleep and with her, everybody else.

No experience, No thanks!

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

I remember when I was finishing school and started looking for a job. A lot of companies look at me and if I told them I had no experience said “no thanks”. There are some companies that will invest in a new college grad. But it is hard to find them. Specially if you are doing an entry level job search. Not too many companies advertise for that type of jobs.

But luckily now there is www.collegerecruiter.com. They specialize in finding those types of jobs for college students. If you have just graduated from school and are ready to enter the work force, this is the place to visit.

Genesis is Teething

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Genesis is 15 months today and is finally getting more teeth. She started teething when she was 10 months old and only 4 teeth came out then. Two on top and two at the bottom. But now she is teething again and it looks like multiple teeth are coming in.

Poor baby, she is not a happy camper.

Save on “International prepaid calling cards”

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

My parents and I call El Salvador on a regular basis. We save lots of money on International prepaid calling cards with:

They have good rates on International prepaid calling cards. We have been using them for years. I made the mistake once of calling El Salvador with my regular long distance company and talked for about 10 minutes and my call ended up being over $100. But with the International prepaid calling cards from Pingo I call about 50-60 minutes and my call costs anywhere from $5-$10. Is this a trip or what?

Like Night and Day. If you do a lot of International calls like we do, you may want to try Pingo.

I will never use my regular phone company to do International Calls and will never use anything other then Pingo to do these calls to family and friends in El Salvador. They also have long distance service in the Nation.

Overall you can use them to call any where in the WORLD for a fraction of the cost.

If you want more info. go to www.pingo.com
