Thunder Storm

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Today I was awaken by a loud lightening. I went outside and saw the flash of lightening all over. They were loud and kinda scary. It reminded me of El Salvador. We used to have a lot of thunder storms over there.

Gush, as I am writing I hear the rain pouring down. Dan tells me that there is a big cell going our way. I had an appointment with Genesis this morning that I canceled because the rain is so heavy.

I was hoping we would get a lot of rain. We have been told for several days that it was coming but never came till now. The grass will love all that WATER.

Dan will too since he does not have to water the lawn for at least a couple of days with all that water that is coming down. In Cali, we never had thunder storms like here. I like to see it from the window inside where is nice and safe.

How to Gamble

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

I am not a big fun of gambling BUT….
I came across this website The Gambling Guide and if I wanted to start gambling, this is where I would start. One thing I found that I thought was interesting was the section about Horse Racing.

I really do like Horses and enjoy watching the races here and there. I have never gambled but like I said if I ever do I will make sure I check out The Gambling Guide first.

Salvadorean Cheese, Yummy!

Monday, August 28th, 2006

My best Friend Terese recently took a trip to El Salvador where she was able to bring back some Salvadorean Products. She was so kind to share them with me. I was so glad. It has been years since I last visited El Salvador.

Eating that delicious cheese took me back. El Salvador is such a beautiful place. I wish my children were older to be able to travel there.

I MISS EL SALVADOR!

The New Marketing Style

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I visited www.mindcomet.com and Interactive Agency that assists in Online Marketing/Advertising. They provide services like:

  • Traffic Generation
  • Conversion Improvement
  • Managed E-mail Communications
  • Mobile Marketing
  • eWareness
  • Loyalty Programs
  • eLearning
  • Hosting

This type of marketing/advertising is what is HOT online at the moment. I read one of their press releases and it is just amazing how much businesses are realizing that this is the way to go. Pretty soon, the mail advertising will be a thing of the pass along with TV commercials.

Fake But Entertaining

Monday, August 28th, 2006

Ok, we all know that all those Medical Investigations and Crime shows are fake but they are entertaining. At least for me they are.

I could watch show after show of the same stuff. I have DVR and will record days of Medical Investigations, SVU, Law & Order, CSI NY and regular CSI, and last but not least, Cold Case. These are my favorite shows to watch. I have learn a lot by watching theme, like how to get away with with a crime. Not that I will ever commit one.

Anyways, I know their fake but I like to watch them all.

I Found Mikey’s Computer Desk!

Monday, August 28th, 2006

It has been 3 months since we moved to our new House, and Mikey’s computer is still in his closet. I did not know where I was going to place his computer on. A regular desk is too big for a not yet 3 year old- (He will be 3 in December) but in Cali., his desk was on the floor. NOT COOL.

I found this store online where they sell School Furniture and they have the cutest children’s desks. They have a lot more then that but I have decided that when I finish his room (the one I have not started on)

I will get him this desk, bizchair1.gif

I will have to re-paint it so it can match his NASCAR theme but I think it will work for his room. I am so excited. My husband will be so proud of me. It is so cute! I can’t wait to start on Mikey’s room now.

Mikey will be able to play games and find his favorite cartoon characters to play with. Now if I can only find something cute to add to Genesis room.

Vegetable Garden

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I have so many projects in my head. I want to do so many things to the house but don’t have the time. But with patience, little by little; things will get done.

A vegetable garden is another of my future projects for The Masters House. I always wanted one but never had the time or yard space to do one. I will finally get one some time soon I hope. I have convinced my parents to help me. My Dad used to work in a nursery back in California so he knows about planting and treating gardens.

We have some idea where we want the vegetable garden to be in the back yard but it is not for sure. I still need to get a list of vegetables that I want and do some research as to how much sun they all need or not need.

So much Fun!

Commercial Wood Crating Community

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I read this morning that Wooden Crates [www.woodencrates.org] is the first/only community for crating industry. There are companies that try to imitate them but don’t even come close because:

Wooden Crates:

  • Last longer
  • Are renewable
  • Are American products (not foreign)
  • Are made of Wood, not plastic- more protection for the shipping products- less cost for the customer

Wooden Crates have thousands of companies listed in crating and other services for crate makers and crate buyers alike. International commerce is dependant on the crating industry. Proper packing and crating reduces damage and thus cuts the cost of goods shipped around the world.

This is a world wide service which includes:

  • The only job listings for crating
  • The only crating forum
  • Global company listing
  • Worldwide Services (packing, and wood shipping/transport crates)

They are like I said, NUMERO UNO in the crating Industry.

Walls: To Paint Or Not To Paint? That is the question

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I have a dilemma about the color all ready on the walls of the house. It is a medium beige and it looks good with the trim of white. My dilemma is this: I want to pain one wall of the kitchen to run over to the family room and paint a wall in the family room to connect to the first wall. But I don’t know if I want to leave the beige color paint in the rest of the walls in the kitchen, family room and hallways.

I guess I need to see if the colors I want those two walls go with the mid-beige color on the walls now.

That I’m afraid, I will leave to the end of my projects. This one will take some time.

Mikey and NASCAR

Friday, August 25th, 2006

Mikey loves NASCAR. Since he was younger, he enjoyed playing with cars. When the movie CARS came out, my husband and I took him to see it and he loved it. That is the reason that his room will be NASCAR themed.

We are planning to have his fan painted like checkers and his bed like a race car. I am still debating if we are going to buy him a bed or make one for him custom made. I already have 4 NASCAR FLAGS to decorate the walls with.

His room now is very plain and has a light color wood toddler bed and a black TV stand. Oh, yes the TV stand. That will get painted with checkers also. At least that’s my plan right now.

We are also going to either paint or use stickers for a race track around the room with NASCAR cars on it. I think that it will look wonderful and Mikey will be so happy so have his NASCAR in his room. I could just see him saying “cars!” over and over again like he does.

JUST ANOTHER PROJECT ON MY TO DO LIST!
