Today Genesis saw the Pediatric Surgeon (Dr. Sanchez with Austin Pediatric Surgeon in Round Rock). She said that she has an infection underneath her skin which needs to be taken out. Her surgery will be 10/6/06. I am a little nervous, not because of what she has but because she is going “under”.
She is so small, only 16 months old. At times she acts like a big girl but she is just a baby. My husband will be taking the day off from work to go with me to the Children’s Hospital in down town Austin.
I will be getting instructions from the Hospital sometime next week for preop prep.
The thing that concerns me is that Genesis does not like to be with strangers. She gets very anxious. I also know that they are not going to let me be in the surgery room with her. She is going to be afraid of being all alone with people she does not know.
For now, we just wait and see!

I think that Dan II looks a lot like Mikey! To the left is Dan II the 1 day after being born. To the right is Mikey 1 day after being born. You could not tell they are not the same child. The only way you could tell is if their hats had been off. Mikey had red hair and Dan II had dark hair. Same skin tone though!
I think I need pictures of Dan II doing the same pose that Mikey did at his age so that a better comparison can be made.
Maybe one of these days I’ll host a photo shoot!
My little boy is only 2 1/2 and he is so smart. He knows how to count up to 6. My husband was so impressed. I was so proud!
He counts with rhythmic tone sometimes or with a normal tone. I am not sure how he learned, perhaps Television or maybe he heard someone in the house. Non the less, he now knows how to count to six.
I am now looking into teaching him how to read. I was able to View free online educational courses at ProfessorNow.com which coincidently, one of them teaches how to teach a child to read. This is a free course!

Today I read an email that my husband sent me about a company ProtectMyPhotos.com. In this email the person tells my husband that he visited his site in which he saw the different reviews he had done in the pass for other companies.
He went on to describe what their product offers and how it works.
At that time is when he offered a free version of the full product so that it could be reviewed and posted on Dans site.
I thought it was cool! He is not the only one who seeks reviews from Dan.
