Inexpensive Magazines!

Monday, September 25th, 2006

maga.jpgI found a website where they sell really inexpensive Magazines. I was very impressed with their selection.

I found this magazines titled “Better Homes and Garden” for only $14.97 for 1 year. You get 1 magazine a month and after one year you can renew or cancel. I think this is a good deal since you can go to the store and buy almost half the price for only 1 magazine.

I really do think they have the best prices for magazines at www.magsdirect.com

Their Most Popular Categories Include:

  • Car
  • Children’s
  • Cooking and Food
  • Entertainment
  • Fashion
  • Fitness
  • Health
  • Home and Garden
  • Men’s

Check them out, you may just find what you are looking for!

Walking In The Mornings! Up to 30 minutes

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Today my husband and I got up at 7 a.m. to walk this morning. We walked for about 30 minutes. We were walking kind of fast. I am not sure what the distance was but it made me sweat. I can wait till we are able to walk for 1 hour and feel comfortable with that.

After that is when him and I are going to try to get into running.

One step at a time!

More Affiliates!

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Modern click.com is a three month old CPA Network. I went on their website and signed up. My husband is teaching me about Affiliates and I think that this company is on a fast track right now.

I want to get on the wagon and take advantage of the opportunities they offer. This is what they offer:

? Guaranteed High Payouts
? Real-Time Reporting & Tracking System
? Free “Step-by-Step” Training Program
? Profitable Offers from Name-Brand Advertisers

I also visited their “Latest News” section and found helpful articles like:

Anyways, my husband always tells me that I need to read up in order to learn and this is where I’m starting!

Volcanoes In El Salvador!

Monday, September 25th, 2006

One of the attractions and a unique look of El Salvador are the volcanoes. The major volcanoes are found in the cities of Izalco, San Miguel, San Salvador, Santa Ana, and San Vicente.

Some of the Volcanoes found there are:

Chaparrastique … see San Miguel (same volcano)

Chichontepec … see San Vicente (same volcano)

caldera.jpgCoatepeque Caldera … This volcano lies at the eastern foot of Volca?n Santa Ana and probably formed after Santa Ana had grown to nearly its current size Several rhyolitic and dacitic domes grew within the caldera, and several basaltic and andesitic vents developed just south and west of Coatepeque. Volcano. Santa Ana, V. Izalco, and V. San Marcelino are part of the same volcanic center as Coatepeque Caldera, although they lie just outside the caldera boundary.

My Cholesterol is Down!

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

A while back my Doctor had said that my cholesterol was high. She prescribed Zocor to lower it and of course diet and exercise. I am happy to say that my last cholesterol check came back and it is now lower then before.

It actually has gone down significantly. I have such good Doctors.

The kids Pediatrician and my Doctor are husband and wife and own the ABC Medical Center here in Round Rock and they are awesome! They really do care about their patients.

I love them!

When is Home Security a Must?

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

I think that home security is always a good idea but it is a must when you have children. To me, my children are very precious. “Things” that may be stolen from my house is not as important as something happening to my children.

If you are thinking about home security visit www.homesecurityinformation.com.

This is a good place to start!

Adding A Room To The House

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

Since my brother will be staying with us for a period of time Dan decided to make the formal dining room area into an extra room. That will make the house a 5 bedroom house.

My brother is not the only reason why we have decided to do this. This way, when Dan Jr. is old enough he will have his own room. We were thinking of having Mikey and Dan Jr. share a room but thought they should have their own rooms. I think this will give them more privacy when they are teenagers.

I am sure they both will appreciate it then!

San Marcos Outlet Mall

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

Today we all went to San Antonio to walk around and to explore the area. On the way back, my husband wanted to stop by the Outlet Mall in San Marcos. The couple of times in the past the parking was overwhelming. This time though, there were open spaces. For a moment there I was not sure why that was but then I remembered “The Round Rock Outlet Mall”.

I am sure that the Outlet Mall in San Marcos is not going to have so many sales like it did in the pass since now there is no real reason for people in Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Hutto and other near by towns to go for that long drive.

Now we have the Outlet Mall here in Round Rock.

I am so happy we don’t have to drive all the way there when we want to go to the Outlet Mall!

The Dieting War!

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

I hear about my cousin today and she was telling me that she has lost a lot of weight. Since her 4 boys she gain a lot. Just like myself, she had her kids one after another and did not get a chance to loose the weight in between and just added on it. She tells me that she is on an Atkins diet plan and that its helping her a lot.

I was 110 lbs when I got married 7 years ago and now after 3 kids I weight 70 lbs more. You do the math. I have tried everything but it seems very hard. My Doctor found high cholesterol and now I have that to worry about also on top of my weight.

I sometimes wish there was a quick fix but I realize that a quick fix is not going to last. I want something permanent. My cousin tells me I should check the Atkins diet and try it. They have Healthy Recipes and other Resources to help you out.

But with that said I also found an interesting article about Dieting that makes me think twice about quick fixes. I am not saying that Atkins is a quick fix but rather the things I’ve done in the past; For example fasting.

I hope that my cousin keeps her weight off and I will continue to eat right and exercise even if it takes me longer. I will also do more research on the Atkins diet and see what other people have to say.

I have added a new category to my blog “Salvadorean Recipes” My husband thought it would be a good idea since there are not too many sites that have Salvadorean recipes.
