Salvadorean Delight!

Ok now, who can explain this to me? My parents tell me that there is a flower called “Flor de Isoto” (hope I am spelling correctly) that you eat.

My mom says you cook it with eggs, onions, tomatoes and eat it like you would scrambled eggs. I must have been very small when I was in El Salvador because this, I don’t remember ever seeing.

Is there anyone else out there that knows what they are talking about? If so, did you ever eat this “Flor de Isoto?

Please do tell?

Thank you Don for the info. I did look up the link you provided and I found a lot of good information. I was not aware that the “flor de izote” was the national flower of El Salvador.

I can’t imagene Texans eating the blue bonnet with eggs!

But there are many things about my own birth country that I need to learn.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my post and to get the info back to me.
